A Haven for Healers
March 1 – April 9, 2021
Thanks to generous donors, all participants will be provided full scholarships to attend.
A Haven for Healers is a six week training and support group for Black mental health professionals. In our current climate, Black mental health professionals are experiencing racial trauma, while holding space for a racially traumatized community. This group is intended to be a supportive community for Black therapists, counselors, and social workers as they process their own feelings and needs, while also learning new experiential techniques to aid their community and clients.
Each session will be a closed 90-minute group with a maximum of 10 participants per small group. Each group will cover topics that include the impacts of racial trauma, grounding and resourcing techniques, and experiential techniques that assist in processing trauma. Each group will be led by a licensed Black clinician who is passionate about racial healing within the wellness community and is experienced in experiential therapy techniques.
A Haven for Healers is open to all Black mental health professionals who are licensed or in the process of becoming licensed. Unfortunately, we will not be able to support other helping professionals at this time.
